If you teach a stringed instrument or have expertise in a related area (repair, merchandise, recording, touring, etc) and are willing to share your knowledge then you are a good candidate for becoming a teacher.

If you would like to request a teachers account - please send an email to teach@guitar-learning.com with the subject 'teacher interest' and be sure to include:

1. You account name on this website (click here to create a free account http://lessons.guitar-learning.com/user/register ).
2. The kinds of information you would like to contribute.
3. The best way to reach you.

The profile is made up of a few key details and quite a few optional details.The required elements include:

  1. Photo - this should be an image the represents you, though it doesn't have to be a picture of you. The site will resize the image to fit in a few different areas so you don't need to worry about cropping it. But it shouldn't be much more than 300 pixels for width or height to start.
  2. Name - this defaults to your account username, but should usually be changed to your full name.
  3. Instrument - select the instrument(s) you play.
  4. Email - this defaults to your account email, but if you use a different email for teaching then you should put it here.

Optional elements include:

  1. Details / Bio - details about you and your qualifications.
  2. About me - a more friendly personal 'pitch'. This could be what inspires you or what your goals are, etc.
  3. Video - if you have a welcome video, you can add a link to it here.
  4. Twitter, Facebok and Blog - if you use these social media channels you can link to them from your profile. NOTE: You are also welcome (and encouraged) to create a blog on lessons.guitar-learning.com if you wish.
  5. Lessons and Location information - The lessons information is not currently used, but it is a goal to help students and teacher find each other. You may want to complete this information now, or wait until it becomes active.
